ExtensionStart vs the alternatives

Comparison pages written by a vendor deserve skepticism, so ours follow three rules: every claim about another product is checked against their live site or repository and carries the date we checked it; we link to them so you can verify; and we say what they do better, including when the honest answer is that you don't need a paid kit at all.

One category note: Plasmo, WXT, and CRXJS are frameworks, free build tooling you'll use whichever kit you pick (or none). ExtensionStart is a kit: a monorepo of product code (auth, billing, a paywall gate engine, tests, a backend, publishing CI) built on WXT. "Framework vs kit" is not a fair fight in either direction, which is why those pages read differently from the ExtensionFast one.
